Enjoyment 8 Can any of you actually say there was a good video game based anime series? Seriously, the majority of them are Regarding the Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 based anime, I think I speak for every fan of the persona series when I say that it was nothing that we were expecting in the worst way possible.
Yet, not all of them get a rare second chance at redemption like the Persona series, and the Persona 4 anime could very well be the best video game based anime we’ll ever see to date, but of course it has it’s share of problems. In the backwater town of Inaba, mysterious events from strange murder cases to midnight showings of people in ways they have never been seen before begin to arise.
But fortunately a transfer student with strange powers is on the case with his slowly growing group of friends.
When he collapses after trying to pursue the killer, he gets a tongue-lashing from a nurse, who says that he’s risking permanent damage.
Her mother died in a hit and run when she was young, and thus all the household chores fall to her, but despite her age she does an admirable job managing both the cooking and cleaning after school. Nanako can usually be found in the living room watching television, and is especially absorbed in quiz shows. Nanako is a big fan of the Junes Department Store , singing along with the jingle every time a commercial airs.
When Ryotaro suggests they go on an outing, Nanako suggests they all go to Junes, instead of taking a vacation. Nanako represents the Justice Arcana Social Link , which she creates with the protagonist should his ‘Expression’ characteristics reach a sufficient level. As the protagonist interacts with her, he helps Nanako understand her father, and helps to mend their strained and distant relationship.
She’s very mature and independent for her age; Dojima notes her resemblance to his late wife, Chisato, in both personality and appearance. Nanako distanced herself with the protagonist at first, but grew much closer to him as her Social Link progressed. When her Social Link is maxed, and the player chooses to talk to her, she will always proclaim her love for him.

Persona 5 Review Share. A strong story and tremendous sense of style make this the best entry in the series yet. By Andrew Goldfarb In stark contrast to the slow burn of epic-length cutscenes that greet you in previous Persona games, Persona 5 starts its long journey with a bang by throwing you directly into a fast-paced foot chase through a vibrant, stylized Tokyo casino. Persona 5 is the culmination of everything the JRPG series has been building to, with familiar elements dialed up to 11 and some welcome new surprises added into the mix.
This gives each palace a sense of identity tied to the target and provides some smart, unpredictable story moments and challenges. While Persona 4 has you run through linear hallways until you reach the top of a dungeon, Persona 5 has branching paths, networks of hidden rooms, doors that require puzzles to open, and even excursions to other parts of the cognitive world outside of the dungeon itself.
Starting each new dungeon is a bit daunting, but solving puzzles and progressing to each new area offers a wonderful sense of accomplishment. This series has never shied away from exploring serious subject matter, and here it shines light on abuse by teachers, drug sales, suicide, and a host of other issues that are handled well and are at times extraordinarily moving.
Exit Theatre Mode Battle in Persona 5 is a familiar turn-based formula, with melee attacks, ranged weapons, and magic attacks based on one of eight elements. While each of your party members has one permanent Persona to use, the protagonist has the lone ability to hold multiple Personas at once. This means that you can acquire additional Personas to use as you progress, and collecting multiple Personas with different abilities is a fun way to tailor your play style to the type of combat you prefer.
Enemy designs are varied and colorful, ranging from humanoids that could almost pass as party members to extravagant complicated monsters, and seeing HD versions of enemies like Jack Frost is a treat for those that have been following the franchise for 20 years. Personas themselves also feature a bit of voice acting, which adds a nice extra layer of polish to negotiation during battles.
FES that’s coming out because I never played it before and it looks interesting. But I am just confused on one thing: I mean is there any real purpose?
Dating is a duty that most people feel they must take on to not seem incompetent.
I do not bury myself in literature and usually if a good book is recommended to me I almost always wait for the movie. By contrast, this seems at odds with my affection for writing and enjoying AAA video games. But now, I have become enamored with an amalgamation that blends my love of literature with visual graphics into an interactive, non-linear storytelling mechanism. I am suddenly breaking for something that is unique, visceral and totally unconventional for a conventional gamer.
What is this hybrid-fusion of literature and gaming I speak of? Japanese Visual Novels for the computer. A passive experience for the first few minutes, eventually you will be lead to make a game-changing decision that can send the story branching off in several completely different paths.
